Our client in the Springfield, VT area is seeking an Accounting Clerk. This is a full-time, first shift position with a competitive starting pay. Start a career with a growing company!

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for following detailed procedures in performing routine accounting clerical duties for daily reconciliation and provide support to accounting department.

Duties:

• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely accounting documents, worksheets, records, and reports
• Verify and balance teller work from all locations
• Assist front line in encoding errors, late returns, and other problems
• Prepare requisitions for office, computer, and routine supply purchases
• Research, track, and resolve (or properly refer) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• One year of previous related experience required
• Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures
• Strong computer skills, able to use computer applications, adding machine, and telephone
• Typing or keyboarding experience required
• Detail-oriented and well organized
• Good communication skills, cooperative and willing to assist others

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm
