Our client in the Keene area is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer. This is a full-time, direct hire, salaried position. The Quality Assurance Engineer will support the quality department to implement, maintain, and continually improve quality and operational systems.
Key Duties:
- Work with Materials/Supply Chain team to establish, implement, and audit quality requirements from external suppliers
- Lead Corrective Action teams to identify true root causes and implement appropriate corrective measure, document and submit internally and/or externally
- Support and monitor various cross-functional Key Process Indicators and Quality department metrics, report to management at least monthly
- Work with the QC staff to manage and maintain customer specifications and requirements (standards, Range Boards, approval samples, etc.)
- Support in assessing new/modified products or components for dimensional and visual defects to establish samples for review/approval, transit tests, Range Boards, Quality Control Plans, and Job Books
- Present Non-conforming Material Reports (NMRs) and samples to the MRB team as a key member of the Material Review Board (MRB)
- Conduct and report on audits and follow up with key members on corrective actions as an active member of the ISO9001 Internal Audit team
- Maintain calibration spreadsheets, arrange calibration activities with qualified outside suppliers, and initiate investigation/risk assessment records for out of specification equipment
- Oversee document control activities for the facility
- Use a variety of data analysis, charts, and statistical tools to drive decision-making with the team
- Work closely with the Projects team, Project Engineers, and New Product team to create/meet deadlines
- Make data-based recommendations to Management on Continuous Improvement opportunities
- Provide support and coaching to staff on Quality standards, inspection methods, sampling plans
Qualifications:
- Two year college degree in engineering or related science field, four year degree preferred
- Work experience and familiarity with ISO 9001 and a GMP environment
- 5 years of minimum experience in Quality Engineering
- Experience and working knowledge of data analysis, statistical concepts, and sampling plans
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Experience with initiation, facilitation, documentation, and follow up on root cause/corrective action requests (including 8D, 5-Why, etc.)
- Experience working closely with other QC to assist, mentor and train
- Ability to use various metrology equipment including optical measurement, micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, and Keyence Vision systems
- Proficient within Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and make decisions based on dimensions/tolerances
- Experience as an Internal/External Auditor within an established Quality Management System
- Excellent verbal and written communications ability
- Able to manage numerous tasks daily
Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm
